UAE organises mass wedding for 300 Palestinian couples in Gaza

The United Arab Emirates has organised a mass wedding ceremony for 300 Palestinian couples in Gaza.

According to international media reports, the event was held on Friday with the aim of bringing joy, hope and a sense of new beginnings to lives affected by ongoing conflict.

The ceremony was arranged with the support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation as part of the UAE’s “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian campaign.

Reports indicate that 1,191 individuals applied earlier this month to take part in the wedding, with 300 couples selected through a ballot process.

It is worth noting that the UAE had previously organised a similar mass wedding for 54 couples in Khan Younis in December.

According to media reports, more than two million people in Gaza have been displaced due to the war, with worsening humanitarian conditions driven by food shortages, limited healthcare services and restricted access to aid.
