A woman in Qazi Ahmed tehsil of Nawabshah district has appealed to the Sindh government and senior police officials for urgent intervention, alleging that harassment over an outstanding debt of Rs2 million has pushed her family into severe financial and psychological distress.

At a press conference at a local press club, Shamshad Bibi alleged that a man identified as Anwar Shah Lakhiyari was demanding Rs2 million from her, which she said she could not repay.

Expressing her desperation, she made the shocking announcement that she was prepared to sell her four children to pay off the alleged debt, claiming that continuous pressure and demands for money had left her with no options.

The woman also alleged that her husband, Allah Rakhio Khokhar, had been forcibly disappeared with the alleged assistance of police personnel. She said his disappearance had further worsened the family's financial and emotional difficulties.

During the press conference, Shamshad Bibi appealed to the provincial government and senior law enforcement authorities to take immediate notice of her situation and provide protection to her family.

She specifically urged the Sindh Home Minister, Inspector General of Police Sindh and Deputy Inspector General of Police Shaheed Benazirabad to ensure the recovery of her allegedly missing husband.

She also demanded legal action against the individual accused of moneylending and financial exploitation, along with adequate protection and justice for herself and her four children.

The woman called on the authorities to intervene immediately, investigate her allegations and help her family overcome the crisis.
