Reports claimed that Amir, who recently acquired British citizenship, is considering entering the IPL 2027 auction as a UK national.
According to a report by Cricbuzz, Amir has registered for the Afghanistan Premier League (APL) draft, scheduled for November 3, as a UK national, prompting speculation that he could also register for the IPL auction.
With British citizenship, Amir is eligible to play as a domestic player in English cricket, rather than as an overseas player. His status in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has also changed, making him an overseas player.
