Bangladesh secured the fourth and final semi-final spot in the 2026 Women’s Asia Cup with a convincing 34-run victory over the United Arab Emirates in Dubai.

After being bowled out for 103, Bangladesh produced a superb bowling performance to restrict the UAE to 69 for nine in their 20 overs.

Rabeya Khan was the standout performer, taking three wickets for 14 runs from her four overs, while Marufa Akter and Nahida Akter claimed two wickets each.

Sultana Khatun and Fahima Khatun also took a wicket apiece.

Earlier, UAE won the toss and opted to field. Suraksha Kotte struck twice during the powerplay and later added another wicket as Bangladesh struggled for runs. Sharmin Akhter top-scored with 38, while captain Nigar Sultana made 23 and Juairiya Ferdous contributed 16.

Despite recording their lowest total of the tournament, Bangladesh defended it comfortably through disciplined bowling and fielding.

The victory earned Bangladesh two crucial points and confirmed their place in the semi-finals, where they will face India.
