Traffic authorities in Karachi’s Korangi district have announced a temporary closure and diversion plan for traffic between Qayyumabad Junction and Korangi Crossing on Sunday, August 30, due to ongoing construction work.

According to the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic), District Korangi, traffic travelling from Korangi towards Qayyumabad will remain temporarily closed from 8am to 7pm.

The closure is linked to construction work at the junction near Qayyumabad on Shahrah-e-Bhutto and the Korangi Causeway, being carried out under the Sindh Local Government Department.

Under the alternative traffic plan, traffic coming from Qayyumabad via Korangi Road will be diverted towards Korangi and Landhi through the Taj Haider Bridge.

Traffic approaching from Landhi and Korangi will be diverted towards Hino Chowrangi via CNG Cut and Godam Chowrangi.

Traffic police personnel will be deployed at relevant points to manage traffic flow and assist motorists.

Authorities have advised commuters to use the designated alternative routes and cooperate with traffic police.

Motorists can contact the traffic police helpline at 1915 for updates and guidance. Traffic updates will also be broadcast on FM 88.6.
