PCB denies rumours of replacing Rizwan and Masood as captains

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially denied media reports suggesting changes in team leadership, stating that no decision has been made regarding the appointment of new captains.

In a statement issued on Monday, the PCB clarified that rumors about Agha Salman replacing Mohammad Rizwan as captain are incorrect.

Similarly, claims that Saud Shakeel is set to replace Shan Masood as skipper are also unfounded.

“There has been no discussion on the matter within the selection committee,” the PCB said, adding that all reports regarding captaincy changes are baseless.

The board urged media outlets to avoid speculation and rely only on official announcements regarding team leadership and selection decisions.

Earlier rumours were floating that after recent performance of the team, the PCB has decided to replace Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood as ODI and Test team captains, respectively.
