Saudi Arabia allows highly skilled foreign workers to bring families

Highly skilled foreign professionals moving to Saudi Arabia will be able to have their immediate family members join them without waiting for the completion of their own employment visa process under a new government rule announced on Tuesday.

The new arrangement covers spouses, unmarried daughters and sons below 25 years of age, according to the Ministry of Interior.

Eligible family members can receive their entry visas alongside the worker’s employment visa, provided the required conditions and documentation are fulfilled.

After arriving in the Kingdom, family members can complete the process for obtaining residence permits under Saudi Arabia’s existing rules.

The Ministry of Interior said the measure was introduced in cooperation with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Human Resources and Social Development.

The government said the move is intended to improve the quality of life for residents and make it easier for highly skilled professionals to relocate to Saudi Arabia with their families.
