Two brothers die after brutal assault by fruit vendors over Rs30

Two brothers who were severely beaten by fruit vendors in Raiwind over a minor dispute of Rs30 succumbed to their injuries. The younger brother had died shortly after the incident, while the elder one also passed away on Sunday after medical treatment.

According to reports, Rashid had suffered critical injuries in the attack, while his brother Wajid died on the spot during the violence.

The incident occurred two days earlier when a quarrel over just Rs30 allegedly escalated into a brutal assault.

A video of the attack, which went viral on social media, showed Wajid and Rashid lying wounded and profusely bleeding as the attackers struck them repeatedly with sticks, while onlookers remained passive.

Police officials said the argument began over the price of fruit but quickly spiraled into fatal violence. A case has been registered, and two suspects have been arrested.

The victims had an argument over the price of the fruits, after which the fruit vendor called his friends and assaulted Wajid and Rashid until they were completely unconscious and severely wounded.
