Mohsin Naqvi issues warning to those making statements against state

LAHORE: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has made it clear that there would be no compromise with people delivering speeches against the government and inciting hatred against it among the public.

While addressing a news conference alongside the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Mohsin Naqvi said attempts were being made to create disturbances and public unrest following the imposition of emergency measures and Governor's Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to him, cases have been registered against these individuals, and additional cases will also be registered.

Speaking about cybercrime, he urged citizens not to transfer money to unknown people requesting financial assistance.

He also advised citizens not to share their photographs with others, as women sometimes become victims of blackmail after sending their pictures to strangers.

Mohsin Naqvi said the NCCIA had received reports of numerous cases involving the blackmail of women.

He added that anyone involved in harassment would be dealt with, regardless of whether they were government employees or worked in any other field.
