Strong earthquake tremors felt across KP and Gilgit-Baltistan

Strong earthquake tremors were felt in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Severe tremors were reported in Parachinar, Lower Dir, Malakand, Shabqadar, Swat, Mansehra and surrounding areas.

In Gilgit-Baltistan, tremors were felt in Diamer, Chilas city and adjoining areas.

According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake measured 5.1 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre in the Garm Chashma region of Tajikistan.

The Seismological Centre stated that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 112 kilometres.
