A forged no-objection certificate (NOC) led to the FIA Immigration Wing at Multan International Airport preventing a government official from travelling abroad on Sunday.
As per reports by the FIA, the individual identified as Mohsin Ali was booked for flying to the UAE on flight PA812. The traveler worked as a ward servant at the District Health Authority in Vehari.
Upon verifying his documents, it was found that the no-objection certificate presented by the passenger was a forged document.
Initial investigations revealed that the fraud was carried out using the help of an official named Naveed Imran who served at the District Health Authority in Vehami.
The accused was arrested and referred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle at FIA Multan for further legal action.
Attaur Rehman, the Director of the FIA Multan Zone, thanked the immigration authorities for detecting the fraud and said that stringent measures will be taken against individuals involved in such document fraud.
