Karachi: The indiscriminate and illegal use of firearms continues to pose a serious threat to public safety in Karachi, with 43 people injured by stray bullets during October.
Incidents involving civilians being struck by bullets fired from unidentified directions show no signs of slowing down.
Last month, 43 people, including infants, young children, teenagers, and women, fell victim to stray bullets across the city, according to statistics shared by welfare organisations working in the city.
Residents are living under constant fear, uncertain of when or where they might be struck by a stray bullet. People appear to be unsafe both inside their homes and while walking on the streets.
A total of 67 people were injured by stray bullets during September and October.
