Senior government sources have said that talks between the United States and Iran are not scheduled to take place in Islamabad on Monday.

According to officials, no date has yet been finalised for the next round of negotiations between Washington and Tehran. The authorities urged to avoid speculations.

Meanwhile, Iranian news agency Tasnim News Agency has reported that Iran is not yet willing to proceed with the next phase of talks with the United States.

The report cited recent remarks by Donald Trump, including the announcement of a naval blockade against Iran, as well as what it described as excessive US demands during negotiations, which have continued in recent exchanges.

According to the agency, Iran has made it clear that avoiding such demands is a key condition for continuing talks.

Otherwise, Tehran is not interested in engaging in prolonged and unproductive negotiations. It added that Iran’s position has been conveyed to US officials through Pakistan.
