MQM-P MNA’s daughter dies after being hit by stray bullet in Karachi

The 19-year-old daughter of a Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) MNA has died after being struck by a stray bullet in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, police said on Monday.

According to the police, the incident occurred on Saturday night around 10pm when a bullet fired from an unknown direction hit the daughter of MNA Iqbal Mehsud Khan while she was standing on the terrace of her home.

He said she was critically injured and rushed to a private hospital in the area, where she later died during treatment on Sunday afternoon.

The officer added that while the family has completed the required legal formalities, they have so far been unwilling to register a first information report (FIR).

Meanwhile, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq expressed grief over the death and offered condolences to the bereaved family.
