KP CM Sohail Afridi's cabinet swells as 5 new ministers take oath

KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday administered the oath to five newly inducted provincial ministers in Peshawar as part of the expansion of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet.
According to a statement issued by Governor House, Shafiullah Jan, Shakeel Ahmed, Tariq Mahmood, Nazir Abbasi and Arif Ahmadzai took oath during the ceremony.
Minister-designate Adnan Qadri could not attend the ceremony as he is currently abroad.
The swearing-in took place a day after Governor Kundi approved a summary sent by the office of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi for the induction of 18 new cabinet members.
Chief Minister Afridi, KP Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, ministers, senior officials and political figures attended the event.
Earlier, Governor House had announced the expansion of the provincial cabinet with six ministers, four advisers and eight special assistants to the chief minister.
The newly appointed advisers include Pir Musawir Shah, Liaquat Ali Khan, Humayun Khan and Mian Muhammad Umar.
The special assistants named in the cabinet expansion are Tariq Saeed, Muhammad Usman, Tufail Anjum, Iftikharullah Jan, Samiullah Khan, Malik Adeel Iqbal, Muhammad Khurshid and Muhammad Israr.
