Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan said on Wednesday that former prime minister Imran Khan will contest the upcoming elections from three constituencies.

While talking to the media in Islamabad, Barrister Gohar Khan said, “We want free and fair elections, we don’t demand the Election Commissioner to resign". He lamented that the party was not being allowed to hold a convention.

“If the rights of 25 million people are being robbed then the chief justice must play his role,” he added.

The PTI chairman said that PTI candidates faced restrictions with their nomination papers being confiscated from their supporters.

Gohar expressed his disappointment by mentioning that, “The nomination papers from Shah Mahmood's secretary in Adiala jail have also been taken away along with his important papers, affidavit, tax returns, and NOCs.”

He maintained that “the PTI founder will sign the nomination papers tomorrow. I couldn't bring a plain paper to the jail today. If our supporters face restrictions, the situation could deteriorate, and we don't want that."

He said Imran Khan will submit his nomination papers from the Mianwani, Lahore, and Islamabad constituencies.

Gohar mentioned that the process of consulting with the PTI founder regarding ticket decisions is ongoing.
