The federal government on Friday re-filed a review petition challenging the Supreme Court's order to shift PTI founder Imran Khan to a hospital, arguing that the court's August 18 decision contains legal flaws.
According to media reports, Chief Commissioner Islamabad filed a miscellaneous review petition before the Supreme Court after addressing objections raised by the registrar's office.
The petition contends that the August 18 order regarding Imran Khan's transfer to hospital contains legal shortcomings and that jail rules were overlooked in the decision.
It further argues that the Chief Commissioner Islamabad was not made a party to the main case and, therefore, was not given an adequate opportunity to present his position.
The petitioner has requested the Supreme Court to accept the review petition and reconsider its August 18 order.
The petition maintains that the court should reconsider its decision after taking into account the legal and administrative aspects of the matter.
