Five killed, two injured as dilapidated school wall collapses in Karachi's Orangi

Five people were killed and two others injured when a dilapidated wall of a government school collapsed in Orangi Town’s Mominabad area on Friday evening, police said.
According to the police, seven people were trapped under the debris after the wall collapsed. Five of them died while two others were injured.
The bodies of the deceased and the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
A spokesperson for the SP West said that the victims were drug addicts and were allegedly trying to remove steel rods from the dilapidated wall when it collapsed.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed grief over the deaths and directed authorities to provide immediate medical treatment to the injured. He also sought a detailed report on the incident.
