Instagram influencer Nyla Raja, who has recently found herself at the center of controversy involving cricketer Imad Wasim, has strongly rejected rumors about their relationship. She clarified that a casual walking video is being circulated on social media with the malicious intent of damaging her reputation.

The influencer had previously addressed the matter and denied the allegations. However, with Imad Wasim and his wife Sania Ashfaq remaining silent, the rumors have continued to spread.

Amid a wave of online criticism and videos linking her to the cricketer, Nyla once again took to Instagram to clarify her position and express her frustration over what she described as a misleading campaign.

“I’ve always believed that I was courageous, that I could face whatever life throws my way. But when a woman’s character is questioned, even the strongest can feel powerless,” she wrote.

Nyla shared that she has been subjected to abuse and bullying online, with individuals sending offensive messages and sharing her videos and pictures with her family members.

“Misleading clips were deliberately sent to my elders, the very people who have always held the highest respect for me. To my family. To my sister’s in-laws,” she added.

She further alleged that a targeted campaign was launched against her, with women creating WhatsApp groups to spread false narratives. She emphasised that she played no role in any alleged rift between Imad Wasim and his wife.

“The story being told right now doesn’t even make logical sense. No even single man does a commitment in four to five months, how can a married with three to four kids can leave his family.”

“I was not the reason,” she said, adding that the incident has made her more conscious of her surroundings. “I used to believe, a casual walk and talk or a two second video was nothing. Now, before I speak to any man I know I’ll think twice. Not because I am guilty but because of how the world chooses to twist it.”

Nyla Raja also expressed her disappointment over the fact that much of the abuse she received came from women. She said she had not anticipated the level of toxicity that exists within the media and sports industry, lamenting how a “harmless, innocent video” became the reason for a widespread smear campaign against her.
