Veteran Pakistani actress Asma Abbas has revealed that her WhatsApp account was hacked and warned friends, family, and fans to remain cautious.
In a video circulating online, the actress explained that fraudulent messages requesting money were being sent from her number.
A screenshot shared in the clip showed a message demanding 1 million PKR as a loan from one of her contacts.
Apologizing for the inconvenience, Asma Abbas clarified that the messages did not originate from her. “Please do not take them seriously. I am safe and well, and I do not need money,” she reassured, adding that the scam has caused stress to her loved ones.
The actress also described how the hack occurred. She received a phone call claiming a parcel had arrived and was asked to share her address.
