LAHORE: Following Afghanistan Cricket Board’s withdrawal from the upcoming Tri-Nation T20 Series in Pakistan, Zimbabwe Cricket has accepted the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) invitation to participate.

Earlier, Afghanistan had declined to take part in the series scheduled for November in Pakistan.

The three-nation T20 series will now be contested between Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe from November 17 to 29 in Rawalpindi and Lahore.

Originally, Afghanistan was slated to feature alongside Pakistan and Sri Lanka, but after its withdrawal, the PCB extended an invitation to Zimbabwe, which was accepted.

According to the PCB, the Tri-Nation Series will proceed as per schedule.

The opening match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will take place on November 17 in Rawalpindi, followed by the Sri Lanka vs. Zimbabwe fixture on November 19.
