Police constable held over property dealer’s killing in Karachi’s Seaview

The mystery surrounding the discovery of a body inside a car in Karachi’s Seaview area has been solved, with a serving police constable emerging as the alleged killer.

According to footage obtained by a privaete news channel, the suspect was fleeing after allegedly committing the murder. Police said they had arrested Constable Israr, who was assigned to the security of foreign nationals.

According to police officials, the suspect had previously worked as the victim’s security guard before joining the police force. He is a resident of the Police Lines, Civil Lines, and is currently posted with the Foreign Security Cell.

Police said the suspect’s uniform was found inside the vehicle, while the pistol allegedly used in the killing has also been recovered.

After the shooting, the suspect reportedly jumped from the moving vehicle, escaped through unpaved roads and later took a lift from a motorcyclist before getting off near the consulate where he was posted.

Police said Constable Israr has been giving contradictory statements during the investigation.

A few days ago, the body of a property dealer was found inside a parked car in the Seaview area.
