During a press conference, Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan addressed criticism from Indian media over his symbolic gunfire celebration after reaching fifty against India in the Asia Cup Super Four stage. He emphasized that he is indifferent to the controversy.

"Usually, I don’t celebrate after scoring fifty, but it suddenly came to my mind to do so. What people are going to make of it, I don’t care. You should play aggressive cricket, whether it’s against India or any other team," Sahibzada Farhan said.

Farhan scored 58 runs in the match against India on Sunday, celebrating his half-century in a unique gunfire-style that drew criticism from the Indian side. He explained that the gesture was spontaneous and that he does not usually celebrate fifties in this manner.

The Pakistani opener also shared his preparation and mindset ahead of the upcoming matches. "I am fully prepared for the game against Sri Lanka and looking forward to facing India in the final. Had the team won, I would have been even happier. My performance against India has boosted my confidence, and we are hopeful of winning the Asia Cup final," Farhan said.

He also highlighted the positive impact of recent changes in the batting lineup, noting that it has boosted the confidence of batsmen like Saim Ayub.

India defeated Pakistan by six wickets in the Super Four match on Sunday. Pakistan is set to face Sri Lanka in their next Super Four fixture tomorrow.
