In a distressing incident, a newly-wed bride was found hanging from a noose in Gujjarpura area of Lahore, it emerged on Friday.

The deceased woman, identified as 28-year-old Tayyaba, had married a man, named Suleiman, only ten days ago. 

Police investigations revealed that Suleiman was already married before tying the knot with Tayyaba, a fact she was unaware of.

Late Thursday night, Tayyaba had contacted her family, alleging that her husband was physically abusing her. The next morning, her body was discovered hanging in Gujjarpura flat.

Local police have apprehended Suleiman and initiated an investigation. 

Authorities have stated that the cause of death will be confirmed as 'suicide or murder' upon completion of their probe.

In a separate tragic incident, a 50-year-old man in Faisalabad shot and killed his two wives, three daughters, and one son before taking his own life.

According to reports, Kazim Jawad was facing domestic disputes, which may have driven him to commit this horrific act.
