WhatsApp chat of martyred Lt. Colonel Junaid Arif with local cleric emerges online

A purported WhatsApp conversation between martyred Lt. Colonel Junaid Arif, who laid down his life in Orakzai while fighting Indian-backed terrorists, and a local cleric (molana) has surfaced online.

In the chat, Lt. Colonel Junaid Arif sought the cleric’s interpretation of a dream he had seen.

“Khwab mein dekha ke main Hawz-e-Kausar par khara hoon, aur Rasool-e-Akram (SAW) khud mujhe aur mere saathiyon ko paani pila rahe hain,” the martyred officer wrote.

The cleric responded with admiration, saying:

“Mashallah, bohat aala khwab dekha hai. This shows that you and your companions are on the right path and will be victorious in this world and the hereafter.”

The heartfelt exchange has since gone viral on social media, with users paying tribute to the late officer’s bravery, faith, and sacrifice for the nation.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that an intelligence-based operation was launched in the Orakzai district of the Kohat Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on the night of October 7-8.

The operation targeted "Indian-backed Khawarij" and resulted in 19 terrorists being killed.  As per official sources, 11 Pakistani soldiers, including senior officials, were martyred during the exchange of fire.
