The family of Hina Javed, who was allegedly murdered by her husband in Rawalpindi, has appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for justice, calling for an impartial investigation into her death.

In a letter addressed to the chief minister, the family demanded the immediate formation of a judicial commission to conduct an independent and transparent inquiry into the case.

The family stated that it had repeatedly attempted to meet Maryam Nawaz to present its concerns but had been unsuccessful.

It also called for the rejection of the police committee’s investigation report, arguing that the committee lacked the authority to clear the suspects or determine their involvement in the alleged murder.

The family further alleged that attempts were being made to shift responsibility onto a domestic servant to protect the main suspect, identified as Faisal.

According to the letter, the suspect and his father also allegedly attempted to portray Hina’s death as the result of a robbery attempt.

Raising concerns over the investigation, the family claimed that crucial forensic evidence and DNA reports had been overlooked. It also alleged that messages had been deleted from Hina’s mobile phone.

The family has urged the authorities to conduct a fresh review of the evidence against the suspects to ensure that all relevant facts are properly examined.

It has also requested Maryam Nawaz to personally review the case record and take steps to ensure a fair and impartial investigation.
