Passenger offloaded at Karachi airport over suspected fake immigration stamps

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration has offloaded a passenger at Karachi's Jinnah International Airport after suspected forged immigration stamps were found on his passport during immigration clearance.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the passenger, identified as Kumail Abbas, was stopped after officials detected suspicious travel documents. A detailed examination of his passport revealed what appeared to be fake Pakistani immigration stamps.

The spokesperson said the stamps were verified through the Integrated Border Management System (IBMS), but no corresponding arrival or departure record was found, strengthening suspicions that the stamps were forged.

During initial questioning, the passenger allegedly told investigators that he had handed his passport to a friend, Naeem, who is currently residing in Malaysia. He claimed the friend had arranged for the fake immigration stamps to be placed in the passport. The passenger also provided investigators with the suspect's contact numbers.

The FIA offloaded the passenger from his flight and referred the case to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) for legal action, further investigation and efforts to identify all those involved in the use of forged immigration stamps.
