The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) immigration system was restored at airports across Pakistan after remaining suspended for around an hour.

The system had gone down simultaneously at airports nationwide, including Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

According to airport authorities, the outage temporarily halted passenger immigration processing, resulting in long queues at FIA counters. Officials said the immigration system was disrupted at all airports across the country at the same time.

The suspension also affected the departure of international flights. Airport authorities said the FIA immigration system was gradually restored after approximately one hour. Despite being contacted, FIA officials did not disclose the reason behind the system outage.

Sources said a similar disruption had occurred at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport around two weeks earlier.
