Security forces have arrested five suspects allegedly linked to India’s intelligence agency, RAW, in a joint operation in Azad Jammu and Kasmir's Muzaffarabad.
Citing security sources, media reports said that intelligence and law enforcement agencies carried out a targeted raid in the Chahla area of Muzaffarabad after receiving specific information. During the operation, five suspects were taken into custody.
Security sources claimed that electronic devices, including laptops and mobile phones, were recovered from the possession of the suspects. Preliminary examination of the devices reportedly indicated sensitive material and suspected communications.
They further said that during interrogation, the suspects led investigators to a concealed weapons cache. The recovered arms included seven automatic weapons, hand grenades, and other military-grade equipment.
The sources added that documents allegedly containing maps of sensitive locations in Azad Kashmir and details of possible plans were also seized during the operation.
The reports said that forensic and technical analysis of the recovered mobile phones and laptops is underway to examine suspected links with a foreign intelligence network.
