Saba Qamar announces legal action against journalist Naeem Hanif

Journalist Naeem Hanif faced a strong response from Lollywood star Saba Qamar after he alleged that she had been gifted a home in Lahore by a man. Reacting firmly, the actress dismissed his claims as false, stating, 'See you in court.'

The controversy began after Saba Qamar made comments during a recent podcast, expressing her preference for Lahore and Islamabad over Karachi.

When asked if she would ever consider moving to Karachi permanently, the actress responded, “Astaghfirullah, never!” She explained that she only visits the city for work and returns home afterward.

Saba added that she would consider relocating if someone bought her a house there, but mentioned that she has already built one for herself in Lahore’s DHA area.

Following her remarks, the discussion took an unexpected turn when journalist Naeem Hanif made serious allegations about the actress’s past. He claimed that around 2003 or 2004, Saba Qamar lived in a house in Walton, Lahore, allegedly “provided by a man she was involved with.” 

The journalist further alleged that the man later harassed her and that Saba had approached a news office to lodge a complaint against him.

Saba Qamar swiftly responded to the allegations, calling them false, baseless, and damaging to her reputation. In an Instagram story, she firmly denied ever living in Walton or being involved in any such incident. 

“I have never lived in Walton, and I never did what you claim,” she wrote.

The actress further announced that she would be taking legal action against the journalist, warning him publicly. “I’m taking legal action against you. See you in court,” she stated.
