Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son criticises Dr Nabiha over inappropriate behaviour during nikah

Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son, Maulana Yousaf Jamil, has criticised social media personality Dr Nabiha Ali Khan for her inappropriate behaviour during her nikah ceremony held at his father’s residence. He stated that singing songs and filming TikTok videos during such a sacred ceremony was disrespectful.

Maulana Yousaf Jamil turned to social media to address the ongoing debate surrounding Dr. Nabiha’s nikah and his father’s involvement. He explained that many people questioned why Maulana Tariq Jamil was seated close to Dr Nabiha, clarifying that his father is an elderly man who regards women younger than him as his daughters or sisters.

“Maulana Sahib has conducted thousands of nikahs and cannot know whether those who invite him record videos of him or not,” he said.

“Although it was ethically wrong to sit beside an unrelated woman, Maulana Tariq Jamil is an elderly person who treats every woman like his own daughter,” he added.

“I didn’t know her personally, and I came to know about her through social media after the event,” Yousaf stated.

He further said it was inappropriate of Dr Nabiha to sing and record videos inside Maulana Tariq Jamil’s residence, adding that she should have considered that the Maulana does not support such activities.

“He is a very humble and innocent man who would never object to anyone visiting his home,” Maulana Yousaf said.

“I urge everyone to respect such religious personalities, and as the son of Maulana Tariq Jamil, it was my responsibility to clarify his position,” he concluded.
