Actor Jamal Shah has rejected his former wife and veteran actress Faryal Gohar's allegations of domestic abuse, saying that there was “no domestic violence” during their marriage.
In a post on X, Shah also disputed her claims about miscarriages due to alleged domestic violence. "We got married in 1984, she lost her pregnancy in 1985 due to dog bite, we were in London for my studies at the Slade College of Arts from 1986-1988 and we divorced each other in 1989," he wrote.
Responding to Gohar’s allegations, Shah wrote: “No domestic violence, no more pregnancy as we had not planned children during my stint in London.”
"I remarried in 2005, a have very caring, capable and mature wife with Three beautiful Children ( girl)19, (boy)17 and (girl) 10 years of age. We live modestly but in a peaceful and happy relationship!!!!!"

Earlier, Gohar had spoken about experiencing physical abuse during her marriage in an appearance on a TV show. She said that she had endured repeated beatings and alleged that the violence led to miscarriages and long-term health problems.
Shah’s post comes a day after Gohar’s account of the marriage received attention on social media.
