Internet divided over Ducky Bhai gambling app saga

As speculations about a potential seven-year sentence for YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, flood social media, netizens have expressed mixed opinions. Some are supporting legal action against him, while others emphasize that all influencers promoting online gambling should face consequences instead of singling out one person.

Ducky Bhai, known for his comedy skits and family vlogs, has recently found himself at the center of a serious controversy. Accused of promoting illegal betting and investment apps, his case has sparked debate about accountability, and the pace at which the legal system treats high-profile figures compared to other criminals.

Ducky Bhai's YoutTube channel has over 9 million subscribers. He is now facing accusations of promoting illegal apps such as “Binomo,” “Bet 365,” and “39 Game.”

The FIR alleges he used his platform to lure people into investing in these applications, leading to huge financial losses, and even acted as Binomo’s country manager in Pakistan without official authorization.

In this regard, citing lawyers, a website reported that NCCIA has made serious allegations regarding Ducky and he might face 7 years imprisonment in jail and 10 million rupees if convicted.

Some social media users have expressed their mixed opinions, arguing that it’s unfair to focus solely on his case while ignoring other criminals who have committed the same or far worse crimes.

An X user stated, “i personally know saad ur rehman aka ducky bhai since intermediate, as we studied together for 2 years. he was a gem of a person back then. you may criticize his content or question his promotions, but it’s unfair to apprehend one and spare the other. unfair on many levels.”

Some people called it a grudge, while others described it as an “abuse of power.”

“Ducky Bhai got arrested for promoting betting apps, but let’s not forget, 4 out of 6 PSL teams were doing the same thing and earned millions for it,” another X user said.

Still, others supported the legal action against him, saying that he misguided and allegedly committed fraud with many young people.

They first extended Ducky Bhai’s 12-day remand to a month, raided his new house and now planning to shut down his YouTube channel due to promotion of betting apps, while others did the same for years. It’s abuse of power and clear someone is doing this pure out of grudge.
