Over 80,000 animals sold at Karachi cattle market ahead of Eid-ul-Adha

As Eid-ul-Adha approaches, sales of sacrificial animals have surged at the Karachi Northern Bypass cattle market, with tens of thousands of animals already sold.
According to market officials, between 70,000 and 80,000 animals have been sold so far, while sales continue to rise steadily with increasing buyer activity each day.
Media Cell Incharge Zaki Abro stated that over 25,000 animals were purchased by Karachi residents in the past three days alone, reflecting strong demand ahead of Eid.
Market Administrator Tariq Tanoli said buyers are finding suitable animals at reasonable prices and returning satisfied, adding that the overall response from the public has been encouraging.
He further noted that more than 250,000 animals have been brought to the market from different regions of the country, ensuring a wide variety of livestock for buyers.
Officials also confirmed that enhanced security measures, including additional Rangers and police deployment, have been put in place along access routes to manage the growing crowds and ensure smooth operations.
