Karachi: Domestic worker, accomplice steal gold and cash after drugging homeowner

A domestic worker and her alleged accomplice have been booked for allegedly drugging a homeowner with sedatives mixed into his tea and stealing gold and cash from his house in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area.
According to the FIR registered at the Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station on the complaint of homeowner Atif, the suspect, identified as Bushra, allegedly carried out the theft with the help of another woman.
The complaint stated that Bushra allegedly gave the homeowner tea laced with sleeping pills, leaving him deeply asleep or unconscious. She then allegedly took seven tolas of gold jewellery and a substantial amount of cash from the house.
The complainant estimated the value of the stolen gold at around Rs3 million.
The police said that the case had been registered against Bushra and her alleged accomplice, and raids are being conducted to arrest them.
