Trump’s Board of Peace unveils $2.45bn Gaza recovery plan

US President Trump’s Board of Peace is set to present a six-month, $2.45 billion recovery plan for Gaza, according to reports. 

The proposal covers 66 projects focused on reconstruction, humanitarian needs and security.

The plan reportedly includes about $400 million for temporary shelters, $275 million for rubble and unexploded ordnance removal, and $50 million for hospital rehabilitation.

It also proposes repairing border crossings, restoring electricity and water systems, providing 25,000 portable solar-power kits and deploying a multinational security force.

According to the plan, physical damage in Gaza is estimated at $35.2 billion, while full recovery and reconstruction could require around $71.4 billion over the next decade.

However, the full $2.45 billion has not yet been secured.
