One killed, two injured by debris after Houthi drone intercepted in Saudi Arabia

A Yemeni national was killed and two other people were injured in Saudi Arabia’s Taif on Thursday after debris fell from a drone that was intercepted and destroyed, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The drone was launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, according to the report.
Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Civil Defense said that its teams dealt with the incident, which also caused damage to civilian buildings and vehicles.
The injured included a Saudi woman and a Pakistani resident. The Pakistani national was in critical condition, the directorate said.
Civil Defense added that the required emergency response procedures were put in place after the incident.
