Danny Danon, Israel’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has dismissed reports suggesting Israel is involved in any potential negotiations between the United States and Iran.
Speaking to reporters, Danon said he was not aware of Israel taking part in such discussions. He made it clear that Israel remains focused on its ongoing operations alongside the United States against Iran.
At the same time, he acknowledged that diplomacy is often the final step after military action. However, he stressed that Israel’s position is firm when it comes to the outcome. According to him, any resolution must ensure that Iran is prevented from developing nuclear weapons or advancing its ballistic missile programme.
Danon said these objectives were set out by Israel weeks ago and remain unchanged. He added that the country is determined to see those goals through.
When asked whether Israel and the US have already achieved what they set out to do, Danon responded that Israel has already made significant progress.
