Iran confirms US str!ke on vessel, vows retaliation “soon” amid rising tensions

Iran’s Hazrat Khatam al-Anbiya military headquarters has confirmed that an Iranian commercial vessel was targeted in the Sea of Oman, alleging involvement by the United States.

In a statement reported by the semi-official Tasnim news agency, the command said the incident constituted a violation of the ceasefire and accused US forces of firing on the ship and disrupting its navigation systems.

According to the statement, US personnel reportedly boarded the vessel during the operation, which Tehran described as an act of “maritime piracy.”

The authorities further confirmed that the ship was subsequently seized in what they characterized as international waters.

Iranian officials warned that the country’s armed forces would respond “soon” in retaliation for what they termed an act of aggression.

The statement comes amid escalating regional tensions, raising concerns over further developments in maritime security in the area.
