India edge past England by seven runs to reach T20 World Cup final

India qualified for the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup after defeating England by seven runs in the second semi-final played in Mumbai.
Chasing a daunting target of 254 runs, England managed 246 for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
England captain Harry Brook had won the toss and elected to field first, inviting India to bat.
Batting first, India posted a massive total of 253 for seven in 20 overs. Sanju Samson led the scoring with an impressive 89 runs.
Shivam Dube contributed 43 runs, while Ishan Kishan scored 39. Hardik Pandya added 27 runs and Tilak Varma chipped in with 21. Suryakumar Yadav made 11 runs.
For England, Will Jacks and Adil Rashid claimed two wickets each.
In reply, England fought hard but fell short of the target, finishing at 246 for seven.
Jacob Bethell played a remarkable innings, scoring 105 runs, while Will Jacks added 35. Jos Buttler contributed 25 runs during the chase.
Hardik Pandya was the most successful bowler for India, taking two wickets.
With the victory, India secured a place in the final of the tournament. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final will be played between India and New Zealand in Ahmedabad on Sunday, March 8.
Earlier, New Zealand qualified for the final after defeating South Africa in the first semi-final.
