Muzaffargarh: Man allegedly kills eight-month-pregnant sister over land dispute

Muzaffargarh: A man allegedly shot and killed his pregnant sister over a dispute involving inherited property in Muzaffargarh.

According to police, a case has been registered at Jatoi Police Station on the complaint of the victim’s mother-in-law.

As stated in the FIR, the complainant said her daughter-in-law was already a mother of one child and was eight months pregnant. The accused allegedly wanted to transfer more than four kanals of land inherited by his sister into his own name.

According to the FIR, the victim had brought a cold drink from a shop for her brother. After drinking it, the accused demanded that she transfer the land to him. When she refused, he allegedly opened fire on her before fleeing the scene.

The FIR further stated that the victim, Mumtaz Mai, was married to a man who is currently working in Saudi Arabia.

Police said raids were being conducted to arrest the suspect.
