Two suspects have confessed before a judicial magistrate to sexually assaulting a seven-year-old boy and killing him.
The suspects admitted to strangling the child with a shoelace and striking him on the head with a brick, and later hitting him with a heavy object.
The investigating officer (IO) presented the suspects before the judicial magistrate (East) and requested their confessional statements be formally recorded.
According to the confessions, the incident took place on September 18 at around 7 pm. The suspects saw the boy returning from a relative’s home and invited him to a cattle farm where they worked together. After spending 15 to 20 minutes at the farm, the men sexually assaulted him before attempting to strangle him and hitting him repeatedly, leading to his death.

The suspects then placed the boy’s body in a gunny bag, which was later recovered from an empty plot. They killed the boy to hide the crime and also had a personal grudge against the victim’s family, stemming from a rejected marriage proposal.
Authorities said the body’s discovery was reported by a relative of one suspect, who directly contacted an ambulance driver rather than going through official channels.
They were sent to jail on judicial remand after the confession.
