The global anti-corruption watchdog Transparency International has released its Corruption Perception Survey for Pakistan.

According to the report, transparency in Pakistan has improved and perceptions of corruption have declined.

The survey findings show that 66 per cent of Pakistanis said they did not have to pay any bribe for government-related work during the past year.

Sixty percent of respondents acknowledged that the current government has stabilised the national economy and succeeded in getting Pakistan removed from the FATF grey list.

Meanwhile, 57 per cent said their purchasing power had decreased, while 43 per cent reported an improvement in their purchasing power.

The survey was conducted between September 22 and 29, 2025, and included responses from 4,000 individuals.

It is important to note that this survey does not measure the actual level of corruption but reflects public perception of it.
