In a shocking incident, two new computers worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were stolen from the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Geo News reported on Monday.

According to the publication, the theft occurred on the third floor of the apex court, where the computers were shifted from another location.

A first Information Report (FIR) was registered at the Secretariat Police Station on the complaint of the Director Information Technology Department Supreme Court.

As per the text of the FIR, the stolen computers included CPUs and LCDs worth Rs600,000.

A closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage was also observed by the law enforcers.

The video revealed suspicious movements by two employees, named Faisal and Zahid, who were seen in the area where the computers were kept, Geo News said in its report.

The police are reviewing the CCTV footage and questioning the employees who were seen in the area.

The authorities are working to recover the stolen computers and apprehend those responsible.
