Mir Raza case: Commission to record investors’ statements via video link

KARACHI: The judicial commission investigating the Mir Raza Ali case has summoned his business manager and accountant for the next hearing and decided to record statements of individuals currently outside Pakistan through video link.
The commission summoned Mir Raza’s business manager Sherry and accountant Umair to appear at the upcoming hearing.
During the proceedings, the commission was informed that Mir Raza’s business partner Ehsan Anis Shamsi is currently in Russia, while alleged investor Usman Bozai is in another city due to his government job.
The commission directed its registrar to facilitate the recording of their statements via video link.
An e-notice has also been issued to Mir Raza’s investor Hassan Tanoli, who is currently in Australia, for recording his statement.
The commission will also record the statement of another alleged investor, Asad Ali Butt.
Meanwhile, Dr Osama has been summoned to the next hearing to explain his position regarding the show-cause notice issued against him.
The commission concluded Monday’s proceedings after questioning police officials and reviewing matters concerning the investigation and evidence in the case.
