Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will formally inaugurate the Third World Culture Festival Karachi 2026 on Friday, bringing together artists from across the globe for a 25-day celebration of cultural diversity.
Organised by the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the festival aims to promote peace, equality, love and cultural harmony through artistic expression.
Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah, speaking at a press conference alongside Sindh Culture and Tourism Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, said around 1,000 artists from 150 countries would participate, alongside Pakistani artists representing all provinces.
The performances will highlight Pakistan's cultural diversity, stretching from the Himalayan region to Gwadar, while bringing local and international artists together for collaborative presentations.
Shah said 97 to 98 per cent of festival activities would be free, with online registration available for visitors.
The program includes art exhibitions, mega concerts, theatre, music and dance performances.
