US Vice President JD Vance has ruled out the possibility of an indefinite war with Iran, insisting that President Donald Trump would achieve Washington's objectives before shifting attention to other priorities.

Speaking to a news channel, Vance said Trump would not allow the conflict to become another “forever war”, while defending the administration's decision to use military force.

Meanwhile, the United States has reportedly deployed 10 military cargo aircraft to Israel's Ovda and Nevatim air bases in the southern Negev, according to Israeli public broadcaster KAN. Additional aircraft were reportedly sent to Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

The reported deployments come amid preparations for a possible renewed military campaign against Iran. However, Washington has not officially confirmed the aircraft movements, and their cargo remains unknown. An Israeli official said both countries were coordinating closely but had yet to make a decision on military action.

The Wall Street Journal separately reported that US Central Command chief General Brad Cooper had briefed Trump on possible military options against Iran. Democratic Senator Chris Murphy described the reported war plan as “insane”, warning that renewed strikes could trigger devastating escalation.
