Mir Raza Ali case: Dr. Sumaiya, Dr. Osama audio conversation surfaces

An audio recording featuring a conversation between Police Surgeon Dr. Sumaiya and Medical Legal Officer (MLO) Dr. Osama has surfaced in connection with the Mir Raza Ali case.

In the recording, Dr. Sumaiya can allegedly be heard discussing the preparation and release of the report with Dr. Osama and assuring him about several aspects of the matter.

According to the audio, Dr. Sumaiya told Dr. Osama that the report would be issued in his name and that the relevant report would be shared with him.

She allegedly instructed him to release the report after receiving it and said that they would prepare its contents together before making it public. She also reportedly said that she would provide the report to lawyer and rights activist Jibran Nasir and inform him that it was the report concerning the case.

Dr. Sumaiya can further be heard saying that the family of Mir Raza Ali would subsequently take the matter forward. She also reportedly said that they would have no complaint against Dr. Osama and referred to findings in a previous report, claiming that it had mentioned that torture had taken place.

During the conversation, Dr. Osama reportedly asked Dr. Sumaiya when he should meet her the following day so that he could arrange his schedule. In response, Dr. Sumaiya allegedly assured him that he would be cleared of the matter, saying that he had already managed to get out of it. She further stated that the fight was hers.
