Sources said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari asked Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to leave a meeting of the party’s parliamentary group.

According to sources, the meeting was already underway when Kundi arrived. Upon seeing him, Bilawal asked the governor to leave, saying the gathering was a parliamentary party meeting.

Sources quoted Bilawal as advising Kundi to adopt a more humble attitude, adding that arrogance was inappropriate and that his appointment to the position had been made due to the party’s political compulsions.

Bilawal was reportedly displeased with Kundi over his strong remarks against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and statements perceived as threatening.

Sources further said the PPP chairman had reservations about the governor’s aggressive position on the possibility of imposing governor’s rule in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Bilawal had also reportedly advised Kundi to refrain from making threatening statements regarding the matter.
