KMC denies claims that volunteer recovered Ibrahim's body from manhole

Three-year-old Ibrahim fell into the manhole and was recovered by a volunteer boy. However, KMC spokesperson Daniyal Siyal claimed that the body was recovered by the rescue teams 1122 and municipal bodies. 

According to reports, a volunteer found the child’s body one kilometer away from the manhole he had fallen into. A large number of people gathered at the site of the incident. Yesterday, a video clip went viral of DSP Talha and he commended the volunteer boy for his efforts.

Daniyal Siyal, KMC spokesperson, posted a video on X claiming that rescue and municipal teams arrived on time and started the search operation. 

Daniyal said, “The operation slowed down for a while due to the disruption caused by miscreants, but the team continued for search.”

He further added, “Chaos has been made by a specific group about the recovery of Ibrahim’s body, that the rescue teams have not recovered the body. However, claims that the body was recovered by a volunteer boy are false. I want to clarify that the body was recovered by the efforts of rescue teams 1122 and municipal institutions; we have proof.”

Earlier, Local residents claimed that no heavy machinery was available for excavation, as no government department provided the required equipment, and no government officials were present during or after the incident. The machinery that was initially operating also left the site. It was further revealed that the residents themselves arranged machinery to begin the search operation.
